Brainwave’s Cycling Challenge

A cycle ride for the moderate to experienced cyclists is taking place over three days on the 11/12/13/14th September 2014 from Belfast Docks around the Antrim coastline in Northern Ireland. The cycle ride is sponsored by Grime Boss and supported by Birchwood Park MEPC. It is in aid of the North West, Brainwave Centre. Brainwave works with families to provide home based exercise and therapy programmers for children with a disability or developmental delay.


The Brainwave Northern Ireland cycle ride will commence with a night crossing from Liverpool on the 11th Sept to Belfast Docks, with the finish line 3 pm onwards on the 14th September at the sea front Belfast Docks. Participants will ride in groups of four with maps provided for all riders. The entry cost per rider will be £350 with the fee covering the following:


• B & B accommodation for 2 nights, plus 2 nights shared cabin Crossing
• Overnight cycle storage. Guide Routes each team of 4
• Coach/ bike transport for the return journey Training rides during the summer
Each cyclist will be asked to raise a minimum of £250 per person and provide their own holiday or British cycling insurance. Sponsorship forms are available from or you may set up a just giving page on all the funds raised will go towards the Brainwave North West Centre. Closing date for all entry: 28th March 2014.
